Dhanya K, Department of economics have delivered an oral presentation at, Sustainability Initiative In The Marginal Seas Of South And East Asia (SIMSEA) on ‘The socio-economic status of fisher folks in Kerala: Shifts in the backdrop of climate change’ which is being organised by ICSU and partners in Manila, Philippines during 26th to 28th September 2016. The SIMSEA is a new program of the International Council for Science Regional Office for Asia and the Pacific and its partners. It promotes inclusive and transdisciplinary research on the sustainability of marginal seas of South and East Asia following the design of Future Earth, the new international platform for research on global sustainability.
Speak for indian intercollegiate debate competition, organised by federal bank in association with mathrubhumi was held on13/10/2016 at college auditorium. Nss programme officer welcomed the gathering. Federal bank branch manager sri.sasidharan inaugurated the function. Topic of the competition was ” trolls in social media exceeds the limits”. Students from mes mampad college, ptm college perinthalmanna and amal college for advanced studies, nilambur partcipated in the competition.

A blood donation camp was conducted at MES Mampad college on 7th May 2016 under 29 (k) Bn in association with Govt. Medical College & Hospital Manjeri. Cadets from EMEA College Kondoty and NSS College Manjeri participated in the program. The welcome speech delivered by Sri Shameer Babu.E.K (ANCCO/Care Taker). The program inaugurated by Dr. P.K Babu (Principal of MES College Mampad). Presidential addressed by Assistant Prof. Basheer P.T. Felicitation done by Dr. Fadiya (Govt. Medical College & Hospital Manjeri) and Havildar Vimal.D. Vote of thanks done by SGT Thejes.C. 24 cadets donated the blood for saving the lives.
Infrastructure wise , MES Mampad College is the biggest in the district. It has separate class rooms for all undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, well equipped laboratories, library, college auditorium for major functions, seminar hall, Food Processing pilot plant, computer centre, spacious playground, one basketball court, one volleyball court, shuttle and badminton courts, student's centre, cafeteria, hostels for men and women, gymnasium, indoor facilities for table tennis, work shed, vehicle parking shed, staff recreation club and a number of other facilities.
Purchase of current titles and up-gradation of library resources is the responsibility of the Library Committee. The Library Committee prepares the list of books and periodicals to be added annually in consultation with faculty members and heads of departments.
There are two hostels for men and three hostels for women students. The boys' hostel accommodates 50 and the girls' hostel can accommodate 200.
The college has laboratories with costly and imported equipments such as spectrophotometer, Gas chromatography (GC) and high pressure liquid chromatography (HPLC)
The college has a well equipped auditorium with a seating capacity of 1500. All major academic activities like seminars/symposia and other meetings are held in the auditorium.
Audio Video Facilities
The institution is equipped with audio video facilities for more student friendly teaching. We have a fairly good collection of educational CDs and classical films.
Food Processing Pilot Plant
The Department of Food Technology has a food processing pilot plant installed by assistance of Rs 25,03,983/- from the Ministry of Food Industries, Government of India.
